Criteria for the distribution of PPGECAM grants
The program currently has two sources of funding for scholarships
- Scholarships from the Foundation for the Support of Science and Technology of the State of Pernambuco - FACEPE
- CAPES Social Demand Scholarships
1. Criteria for the distribution of FACEPE grants:
The scholarship lasts 24 months for the master's degree, and will be distributed to the Professor awarded with a project approved by FACEPE.
The professor will be responsible for indicating the student to receive the scholarship, the choice will be made among the students approved in the selection of the current master's degree to that of FACEPE.
2.. Criteria for the distribution of CAPES scholarships:
The scholarship lasts 24 months, as long as the student has not received the same scholarship in this or another program.
Currently, the program has 5 scholarships from CAPES, distributed as follows: 2 scholarships for each area of ¿¿concentration, totaling 4 scholarships. The 5th scholarship is distributed on a rotating basis, every 2 years it will be allocated in a concentration area;
The program scholarship released for current selection must go to the candidate, classified in the 1st call, following the criterion of best grade by area of ¿¿concentration;
When the scholarship is released before the completion of the course by the ME student, this scholarship must be occupied by the next student without a scholarship in the same class as the student who returned the scholarship, within the area itself. In the absence of a student without a scholarship in the area in the class, the scholarship remains in the area to be redistributed by the scholarship committee;
If the program has an extra scholarship to be distributed to students from an older class, as long as the awarded students are within the deadline of the scholarship in question, These will be items that will make the student ineligible;
Not having qualified the dissertation (if applicable);
Obtain a “D” grade or have failed in any discipline;
Get two “C” grades in I grade history,
Classification order, the weighted average between the student's entrance note and the CRA (Academic Performance Coefficient) will be calculated.
Note: Re-entry students will be considered ineligible.
The distribution of scholarships is made by area of ¿¿concentration, if the program is awarded only one scholarship, it will go to the area with the highest percentage of eligible students without a scholarship. Excluding FACEPE grants, as these belong to the professor.
Attention: In all cases, the students applying for the scholarship will not be able to have an employment relationship, the other situations can be consulted directly in the scholarship notices. Unforeseen cases may be evaluated by the scholarship committee.
