The Curriculum Grid of Program in Information Science (PPGCI) is characterized by courses (core and elective courses) and directed activities. Directed activities and the corresponding credits are defined in the PPGCI Internal Regulations. Table 1 shows the number of credits required to the students achieve the academic degree.

In addition to the provisions of table 1, the student must take a qualifying exam (Master Degree’s thesis or Doctoral Degree’s thesis), and later, another defense exam, which do not count credits for curricular completion, but are mandatory for the academic degree.

Tables 2 and 3 show the Curriculum Grid of the master's and doctoral courses, respectively.
The student must complete the master's course in a minimum period of one year and a maximum of two.
The student must complete the doctorate’s course in a minimum period of two years and a maximum of four.

Table 4 shows the list of all courses, core and elective, with their codes, academic load and credits, which make up the Curriculum Grid of the PPGCI.

Table 5 shows the courses distributed by research line. Courses and other academic activities offered in master's and doctoral degree are held every six months with the aim of deepening and investigating the research area and the subject to be investigated.
