The Graduate Program in Information Science (PPGCI) of the Department of Information Science (DCI), linked to the Arts and Communication Center (CAC) of the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), was created in 2008 and authorized by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) in 2009. 
Offers the Master's Degree and Doctorate courses.
