About the Program
The Post-Graduate Program in Education at the Education Centre of UFPE, created in 1978 with the Master's Course and becoming a PhD Program in 2002 Doctorate aims to contribute to the understanding of the multiple educational determinations, processes and practices from the social, economic, historical, philosophical, didactic and cultural dimensions.
The Program's overall purpose is to provide training for high-level academic staff. A curricular link is required for this training between teaching, research and supervision activities, and is aimed at critical action in society, especially in the educational field, with a view to strengthening the democratization process of Brazilian education and society.
