The Program The Program

The Postgraduate Program in Accounting Science (PPGCC) represents a structure of
education and research on Controllership and Accounting, linked to the Department of
Accounting Science of UFPE.
In this environment are developed activities of professional qualification, based on the
Specialization Program in Corporate and Government Controllership, which focus essentially
in the integration with public and private entities in the region for the development of
continuous educational programs.
The PPGCC is based on four main pilars:
(a) Master’s degree in Accounting Science, which offers up to 16 vacancies per year and
research scholarships for students that meet the admission requirements;
(b) Doctorate in Accounting Science, which offers 6 vacancies per year;
(c) The UFPE Congress of Accounting Science, which is an annual forum where the results
of researches produced during specialization courses, master’s or undergraduate program
are presented and discussed;
(d) An open access electronic journal (Revista de Informação Contábil - RIC), which
publishes studies and research related to Accounting.
The Program is guided by the desire to promote professional qualification, produce
knowledge in Accounting and foster the economic and social development of organizations
and the overall society.
