GOALS

 

The Postgraduate Program in Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Sciences aims at training teachers and producing scientific knowledge in the Clinical and Experimental Neurosciences domain. The Program’s current goals are:

 

Train scientific method abilities;

• Develop assimilative capacity and critical thinking

• Enable and generate competence and autonomy for the production and dissemination of knowledge;

Graduate new researchers in the Northeast of Brazil prepared to both teach and research;

Recruit researchers from across Recife or neighboring states with good scientific training from smaller institutions to work with our faculty in the training of students and in the production of knowledge;

• Motivate recent PhDs without scientific production, encouraging collaboration in research projects or participation as co-supervisors of Master's dissertations, Doctoral theses, or both;

• Promote the integration between members of our PPG among themselves and with participants from other graduate programs, in order to motivate creativity and show the importance of teamwork, preparing the new generation of young researchers for academic life.
