Research Group of Information Design + Journalism was born in 2016 with the purpose of working on topics related to editorial design, information visualization and data journalism. Currently, it is linked to the Post-Graduate Program in Communication at UFPE.

The interdisciplinary scope allows the participation of researchrs and students from the diferent areas: Communication, Design, Information Sciences and Computer Science. The group is led by Prof. Dr. Rodrigo Cunha, associate professor of the Department of Communication (DCOM).

The meetings take place biweekly in the PPGCOM with reading and discussion of articles, sharing of research materials among participating members, and planning joint production of articles and organizing seminars.

Our mission is to further encourage the production of research on Communication and Design and to broaden the dialogue with professionals in the field and encourage innovation between academia and market professionals.
