Keizo Asami Institute
The Keizo Asami Institute (iLIKA) was founded on April 25, 2022, and its existence formalized by the CONSUNI Resolution No. 03/2022, which replaces the CONSUNI Resolution No. 01/1989. The iLIKA had its origins in the Laboratory Keizo Asami of Immunopathology (LIKA), a set of laboratories inaugurated on April 23, 1986, and named in honor of the Japanese scientist who began implementing the laboratory in Brazil, but died before the inauguration.

Mission
The Keizo Asami Institute (iLIKA) aims to:
I - promote higher education, research and extensionist actions in translational sciences, focused in science, innovation, internationalization and interaction with society;
II - produce, develop, experiment and disseminate scientific knowledge and sustainable technologies;
III - prepare qualified, critical, and ethical professionals to act and lead the scientific and social transformations; and
IV - develop science knowledge and disseminate its benefits, as a result of scientific and technological research produced at the Institute, contributing to social well-being together with the scientific, cultural and economic progress of society.
