We present a Four-Wave Mixing (FWM) experiment performed in a Magneto-Optical Trap of rubidium 87 using a single cw laser to generate the pump and probe beams, tuning its frequency near the cyclic transition. These beams are in a copropagating configuration, forming a small angle to provide spatial separation of the signal. Since both of them have equal intensities, the sample generates two FWM signals in different directions. Early analyses of these signals indicate that they are identical. However, in this seminar, we will focus the attention to only one signal, trying to understand its spectrum through our theoretical model. We show how the addition of typical features such as absorption, phase-matching and Electromagnetically Induced Absorption (EIA) are not enough to explain our FWM spectrum.
