38th International Geological Congress - 2028

The International Geological Congress (IGC) is the premier conference for the advancement of global Earth Science. It takes place every four years in a major city, attracting over 6,000 geoscientists from across the globe - akin to hosting the Olympics for Earth Sciences. In 2024, Canada won the bid host the 38th IGC, IGC 2028, in Calgary in 2028. The congress tagline is “Geosciences for Humanity”.
