PROJECTS
Main on-going projects include:
• Magma transport rate estimated from partial dissolution of magmatic epidote in Neoproterozoic (high K) calc-alkalic granitoids in northeastern Brazil (Borborema province), Argentina and Chile.
• Oxygen isotopes (zircon) in granitoids in terrane mapping.
• C, O and Sr fluctuations in Paleoproterozoic (Iron Quadrangle of Minas Gerais and in Rio Grande do Sul shield) in Brazil, Uruguay and India and the Lomagundi carbon isotope anomaly.
• C, O and Sr chemostratigraphy of Neoproterozoic cap carbonates in northeastern Brazil and carbonates of Uruguay and Argentina, investigating also the behavior of Ca isotopes and contents of Hg as paleoclimatic tracer.
• C, O and Sr chemostratigraphy of Upper Cambrian carbonates of the Precordillera in western Argentina, searching for the Steptoean positive C isotope excursion (SPICE) and a negative Sunwaptan C isotope excursion (SNICE).
